WhatsApp Group Policy

Purpose:
The Wilson’s Badminton Club WhatsApp Group (“the Group”) provides a platform for players to receive club-related announcements, communicate with fellow members, and maintain a friendly, informed community. This Group is intended for adult club players only and is moderated to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
1. About the Club:
Wilson’s Badminton Club (“the Club”) was established in 2025 to create a community for badminton enthusiasts and to raise funds for Wilson’s School via court rentals.
The Club is independent of Wilson’s School and does not manage or govern school affairs. Any school-related concerns should be addressed directly to the school.
The Club is run entirely by volunteers who contribute their time to support the school community.
Comments and opinions expressed by Club administrators in the Group are personal and do not represent Wilson’s School.
2. Membership of the WhatsApp Group:
Membership is open only to adult players of the Club. Children under 18 are not permitted in the Group.
Players may join the Group upon request, after booking courts via the Club Leader, Nina Guha.
The Group is strictly for Club players; anyone found not to be a player will be removed immediately.
3. Group Guidelines:
All members are expected to adhere to the following guidelines:
Respect and Courtesy: Use polite language. Avoid profanity and maintain respect toward all members at all times.
Inclusivity: Discrimination, harassment, or disrespect based on race, culture, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or any protected characteristic is strictly prohibited. Breaches will result in removal from the Group.
Relevance and Brevity: Keep messages relevant to Club activities or announcements. Avoid excessive posting or off-topic discussions.
No Abusive Content: Do not respond to abusive or hateful messages. Report such content immediately to the moderators.
No Spam or Commercial Promotion: Do not forward chain messages, promote businesses, or share content for personal gain without prior approval from moderators.
No Political or Religious Agitation: Messages intended to provoke political debate, religious hatred, or divisiveness are prohibited. Violations will result in removal from the Group.
Avoid Negativity: Posting content designed to spread fear, anxiety, or negativity will not be tolerated.
Private Messaging: If you need to communicate with an individual privately, do so outside the Group unless replying to a post of ongoing relevance to all members.
4. Moderation and Enforcement:
The Group is moderated by appointed Club administrators to ensure compliance with these guidelines.
Members who repeatedly breach the rules will receive warnings, followed by potential removal from the Group.
Moderators reserve the right to refuse future access to individuals expelled from the Group.
